1. Service Description

Recastr (“we,” “our,” “us”) provides an AI-powered web application for transcribing audio and video files and generating time-aligned voiceovers. By accessing or using Recastr at recastr.io, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Your Content

You retain full ownership of all audio, video, and text files you upload. We process your files solely to deliver the requested service and do not retain them after processing is complete. We claim no intellectual property rights over your content.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Recastr to:

  • Upload or generate content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes third-party intellectual property rights
  • Impersonate any person or entity without authorization
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or abuse the service
  • Resell or redistribute the service without written permission

4. Payments and Credits

Free accounts receive 5 minutes of voiceover generation. Additional minutes are available as one-time credit packs ($3 for 15 minutes) or via a Pro subscription ($9/month for 200 minutes, resetting each billing cycle). All prices are in USD.

Credit packs never expire and are stackable. Pro subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

5. Refund Policy

Consumed voiceover minutes are non-refundable. If you experience a technical error that prevents successful generation, contact us at [email protected] within 7 days and we will credit your account.

6. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or abuse the service. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

7. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

Recastr is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 90 days preceding the claim.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the site. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
